Last night was Bargo night. There were high clouds which went and then came back and went and came back etc. A lot of dew was about too so I got to use my new dew removal system (read: 12V Hairdryer) and it worked a treat. The scope however is a different matter. It was its first outing after having the mount serviced. Initially all looked well but then I noticed that the scope wasn't tracking smoothly, it would jump rather badly, something that it never did initially. Then it started slipping again when slewing, *SIGH*. Finally it stopped wanting to track at all but the odd thing was that it would still slew to objects... I've sent an email off to the local distro/service guys again to see if they can either offer some suggestions or take it back to be looked at again. It's coming to the end of its 1 year warranty so if it doesn't get solved soon I'll either be paying for a fix out of pocket or throwing the whole mount away and investing in a ServoCat/ArgoNavis system even though it's damned expensive.
The Formula One good again last night. Very good to see different people on the podium :)
Woke up this morning feeling a bit sick. Not going to do TKD today, I'll just have to make sure I have all the defensive stuff learnt by grading next week.
Today we are going to 2 choir recitals that Hannah is in. The first one is the school choir and it is at the early church mass this morning (I'm waiting for the coffee to kick in *grin*). The second one is with a new group that hannah has just joined in the past 2 weeks. They do choir and orchestra but today is just singing for Hannah (AFAIK).
It looks to be a pleasant if not cold day. I'm hoping the skies stay clear for next week :)
A busy-ish day at work thanks to a late start. Other than that not much going down really.
I did get my order of some of the separate avenger movies (Iron Man 2, Capt. America, Thor) on blu-ray so might have to have a bit of a marathon over the weekend :)
It was a good day at work today, nice and busy. We had a morning coffee order for 7 coffees and at the same time I had a large number of customers ordering coffees so within 15-20 minutes I had made around 21 coffees, not bad for me as I don't often get to make such numbers of coffees :)
Hannah has been making some animations on the computers at school lately so she accessed the website here at home and made some quick ones this morning.
Well I went and picked up the base for my scope fromt he service department today. The scope is currently fully assembled in the living room and working perfectly! The motor dives is still noisy but there is no squeak when pushing the scope manually.
Today at Tae Kwon Do we were expecting to be given our grading sheets but as it happens only 2 of the class are going to be graded this weekend, the rest of us are going to be graded in a couple of weeks time instead of going to the club on a Saturday. This is a good thing, it gives Hannah a bit more time to learn her defences (plus it lets us older members learn them as well *grin*).
Sent an email to the astro place to see if my scope mount was ready and it is indeed! Hopefully tomorrow afternoon I'll go pick it up and it better all work when I get it home fully assembled or I'll be a tad annoyed.
Hannah's second hand dodgy laptop finally stopped working and Sibi has been complaining that her laptop is annoying her so I went and splurged on two new iMac's for them. They are the base models (Sibi's has some extra hardrive and a slightly faster CPU) with nice 21.5" displays. I swapped out the wireless keyboards for wired ones with numpads but I kept the wireless mice.
